Normandy, France

Current Year 7 Students

Trip organiser – Mrs C Ogereau

30 student places

We will spend 5 days and 4 nights at the Chateau du Molay which is well-placed to explore the attractions of Normandy. Highlights of the trip will include the Famous Bayeux Tapestry and poignant locations of the 1944 D-Day landing beaches, war museums and battlefields. Also we will visit the town and market of Bayeux for some cultural experience of a French town. A visit to La Cite De La Mer, an unforgettable day out, full of excitement, during which we will have fun, be filled with wonder and learn all there is to know about deep-sea exploration. A variety of entertainment is provided in the evenings, including a quiz, bowling and fancy dress party and disco! Travel will be by coach and the Eurotunnel, leaving on the early hours of Tuesday 10th March 2015 and returning on Saturday 14th March 2015. This trip is always a great success and it is evident that everyone gains something from the factual and adventurous nature of the trip.

Geography Field trip to Norfolk

Each Spring

Year 12 Geography students (compulsory)

Party Leader: Mrs M Gelder

This trip forms an integral part of the teaching of the AS Level Geography course and prepares students for the Geographical Skills paper. Students conduct a number of small geographical enquiries based on their field work that they plan and collect. An excellent opportunity to learn real life Geography in place where it happens and consolidate things learned in class.
