‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.’ Aesop
It has been a long busy term and we are all looking forward to a well-earned rest over the next week. You have worked hard and made outstanding progress. Your efforts with the new homework booklets, your engagement in the new SMSC programme and the enthusiasm you have shown in the latest student voice debates are all a very important part in moving our school forward. You have all played a crucial role in our school community and I would like to thank you all for ensuring that our team goes from strength to strength.
Now our minds turn to the coming week. We might be going on holiday or visiting family or friends or perhaps going on day trips. During all of these activities, it is very easy to allow opportunities to pass us by and I would urge you to look for opportunities to support and help your local community. No act of kindness is wasted. Every act of kindness can have a very positive effect on the people around you and you have the power to help others smile and make their day just a little bit better.
Your challenge over the coming week is to look for opportunities to support and help people in your local community; to show them these acts of kindness and show them what it is to be a part of the LCHS community.
Enjoy your week and look after one another.
